Emily Irene VanCamp originally wanted to be a professional ballet dancer. But, while having a time spent with her sister Katie in the Ladies Room movie set, Emily was captivated by acting. The actress began taking acting classes, and also landed appearances on television shows from her home country of Canada. She's appeared on a variety of programs, including Are You afraid of The Dark? Radio Active, Dice. VanCamp made a significant career breakthrough when he was chosen to play Sam Dolan in WB's horror thriller Glory Days. In reality, she was swift in securing another role as Amy Abbott on Everwood. This role led to her being nominated as an Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
