Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin the third season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. It was only when she started writing that her passion for writing was revealed. She also won an Emmy award for her outstanding host of a talk show. Between 2002 and the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor as well as the news anchor on The Early Show. She was dispatched to Cairo after 9/11 and conducted an intimate and fascinating discussion with the father who was the main hijacker. Chen Moonves's interview subjects include journalists such as former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian William Cohen (former Defense Secretary), and celebrities like Denzel Washington. She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS in the late 1990s, as well as an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her final year at the University of Southern California. Her first job in broadcasting was working as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' heros.
